  Australian Animals
There are many animals on mainland Australia, Tasmania and on the nearby islands, including New Zealand, New Guinea, and Indonesia (to name but a few). Many animals are unique to this part of the world. The Great Barrier Reef is the largest coral reef in the world; it is off the northeast coast of Australia. There are also many flightless birds, monotremes, and marsupial mammals in Australia and nearby islands. Some dinosaur fossils have also been found in Australia; these reptiles roamed Australia over 65 million years ago.

Budgie Guide
Australian Budgerigar Guide - everything about getting and keeping a budgie. Finger Taming The first step in teaching a budgerigar to talk is to teach it to perch on your finger without fear. This essential training is known in the budgerigar world as \"finger taming\"; it is the first major step in teaching a budgerigar to talk, but several months may elapse before it actually starts to do so. After the budgerigar has been given a couple of days to settle into its new home, and when it is taking interest if you talk to it, you are ready for finger taming.
